Plant Protein is a vegan protein powder: alongside four plant protein sources – watermelon seed, pumpkin seed, pea and sacha inchi protein – we add two microalgae, spirulina and chlorella. A 30 g serving gives you 20 g of protein with just 2 g of fat and 4 g of carbohydrate. It’s made for after training, but it comes in handy at any time of day when you need a clean, plant-based source of protein.
All three of our proteins have a complete amino acid profile; the main difference is the source. Whey Protein is whey protein isolate with glutamine, Soy Protein is soy protein isolate, and Plant Protein is a vegan, soy-free formula made from six plant sources. You’ll find a detailed comparison of the three in our article Whey Protein, Soy Protein, or Plant Protein?
In our view, a good target is 1.2–1.7 g of protein per kilogram of body weight per day, depending on your training load. For an 80 kg athlete, that’s roughly 96–136 g a day. One serving of Plant Protein provides 20 g of it.
We added watermelon seed protein to the formula – for its favourable properties and neutral taste – and reduced the proportion of some of the previous protein sources to make room for it. We changed the name, too: Plant Protein is for everyone, not just people following a plant-based diet.
The formula contains no soy. However, both flavours are made in a facility that also processes soy – you’ll find the exact allergen information on the Nutritional Information tab.
Yes. Our raw material suppliers must provide an independent laboratory analysis for every batch, and the finished product meets US (FDA) requirements.
Yes. Just keep in mind that Plant Protein contains no glutamine and provides 4 g of carbohydrate per serving. If you’re looking for an evening protein with glutamine, Whey Protein is whey protein isolate made with glutamine.
Yes. You can mix it with warm or even hot water without affecting its quality, and all six protein sources are suitable for baking too – in pancakes, porridge or muffins.
Yes: the formula is vegan, gluten-free and soy-free. Other allergens are also processed in the production facility – we list them by flavour on the Nutritional Information tab.
Serving: mix 30 g of powder (2 level scoops or 1 single-serve packet) in 250–350 ml of water and drink it right after training.
You can also have it during the day, mixed into smoothies, porridge or baking.
